InvestorTeams.com is based out of Royal Oak, Michigan, but their member base spans the country. Members range in level of investment experience from beginner to advanced and the amount of new members has doubled each month since the company launched back in March of 2006.
The free site offers timely insights into all three asset classes by showcasing articles, upcoming events, books, websites and more. “Our site doesn’t just focus on one area of investing”, says Perlman. “We want our users to be well versed in real estate, paper assets and commodities so they can prosper in any market.” Investors and Entrepreneurs can go to http://www.investorteams.com/irMain.cfm to become a free member of InvestorTeams.com.
So how does Perlman expect to make money with this company if membership is free? By being a lead-generator for people who service Investors and Entrepreneurs. “We are offering a select number of spots for Preferred Specialists (i.e. real estate agents, mortgage brokers, accountants, attorneys, etc.) to market their services to investors in their local markets”, says Perlman. “A mortgage broker can pay $19.99 a month and have their own dedicated webpage with us to highlight their services to our investor network. We figure if we generate at least one qualified lead per year, it would more than cover the entire year’s subscription.”
“Becoming a Preferred Specialist on InvestorTeams.com is a no-brainer for me”, said Mark Maupin, owner of Budget Realty in Livonia, Michigan, “Where else can you pay $20 a month for increased marketability on the web and quality investor leads?” Perlman is an active investor himself and started InvestorTeams.com due to his own personal struggles of finding valuable resources and the right people for his financial team.

“I grew tired of trying all the wrong ones to get to the good ones. It was costing me too much money. I wanted to create an environment where investors could access key information about an accountant, lawyer or mortgage broker before they signed on the dotted line”, said Perlman.
Perlman and his team are positioning their site to become the match.com for investors and their service providers. Web pages are still available in each category for specialists, however the buzz is strong and the seats are going fast. If you’re a real estate agent, mortgage broker, accountant, attorney, title agent or stock broker and are interested in becoming a Preferred Specialist on InvestorTeams.com, click on http://www.investorteams.com/service.cfm.
