Mark Maupin asks “How do you like your Job? Not so Much? Then why not Start your own Business and be your own Boss?”

Attend the April Mega Evening to see how we are shifting from a managerial society to an entrepreneurial society

Royal Oak—All around, there are self-made business owners who had and idea, offered a service, started a company and now lead the “good life” as a result of the success of heir own small business. Mark Maupin of the National Real Estate Network has invited Edward King to speak to members about starting and running a successful, profitable small business. “Competition in the job market is fierce in today’s economy,” says Mark Maupin. “In spite of labor laws, many people find themselves held back due to age, race, sex or background. One can avoid these restrictions by owning their own small business,” Mark explains.

Statistics show of America’s 35 richest people, half are high school drop-outs and less than one-third ever graduated from college. According to the US Department of Labor, women who are tired of being paid 30% less than men are starting their own businesses at 6 times the rate of men. Last year, US companies bought more than $20 billion in goods and services from minority-owned businesses and minority-owned businesses are growing at 5 times the rate of non-minority owned businesses.

Among the many advantages of owning your own business is security. Time Magazine estimates that 1,500 jobs are lost, per year, due to deregulation, corporate mergers, and global competition. Instead, many are hiring sub-contractors. With today’s technology, computers, cell phones, fax machines, answering machines and overnight delivery services, people working out of their own homes can be as productive as any Fortune 500 company employee.

So, there are many great reasons to attend the Mega Evening Event at the Laurel Manor, 39000 Schoolcraft Rd; Livonia, MI 48150, from 6pm to 9pm on April 17, 2008. Call 248-762-0800 to register. Visit http://www.megaeveningevent.com for more information.
