Detroit, MI—Mark Maupin is a well-known name in the Metro Detroit area. He is the co-founder of National Real Estate Network, a company for real estate investors to network and learn. Mark is also a human being, just like all of us. He has a loving, supportive wife, Karen, his high-school sweetheart, whom he has been married to for 35 years. Their love grew and the result was a son and a daughter. They are the typical American family, with a house, a boy, a girl and a dog (no, they don’t have a white picket fence), but the love of their family grew and they have 4 grandchildren. Their son, age 30, is an expert in the concrete and brick laying business; their daughter, age 28, is attending college in Las Vegas. Enjoying life to the fullest, she is a photographer with dance as a hobby.

Mark became interested in Real Estate in 1981 and began buying properties for rental investments. He saw a promising future in the business and became a licensed real estate agent in 1984 and real estate became his full time occupation. Did it become “his life”? No! I just told you about life in the above paragraph—his family is his life—real estate is just a job, which grew into his career.

Real Estate, like marriage and family, can be risky business (with potential of great return). Mark has experienced both the pitfalls and return. Like anyone else, he has had conflicts to overcome. Fortunately, his marriage and family have produced a return far greater than any return or loss he has experienced in real estate. Now, he spends a great deal of time educating others who have chosen real estate as their career, in hopes of helping to prevent them from making some of the mistakes he made. Yes, the real Mark Maupin, real estate expert, educator and mentor, made some mistakes and learned from them. He is human after all.

Mark Maupin has also been very successful and he shares the secrets of his success with anyone who is interested in learning and growing; anyone who wants to take action and network with other people to share knowledge and succeed in their business, hobbies and life.
